New Message Boards

Due to lack of time and the extent of this site, I haven't been able to keep up with the all the corrections, additions, etc. that have accumulated in my inbox. So, in order for those who use this site to pass along and find new information or corrections in a more timely manner, I've set up message boards for the areas covered by this site. Those who have scanning news, corrections, additions, etc. for their area or those who are looking for the latest changes etc. can now post or read messages on the message boards for their area. Feel free to browse the boards or to post any additions, corrections, questions, answers related to scanning in your area on the appropriate message boards. As I have the time, I hope to incorporate the info. from posts into the web pages.

I want to be able to make these boards available on a permanant basis, but do not want the traffic to exceed the bandwidth allocated for me by my provider, so please keep in mind a few basic rules when using the boards:

  1. You do not need to register to view posts on the boards, although all users are encouraged to do so. You must be registered in order to post messages.
  2. Please do not post unnecessary messages on the boards and only post them on the approriate board. Before posting your information or question, please check the previous posts and the web page corresponding with your area to see that the information isn't already available.
  3. Please do not post messages to multiple boards. If you message or question applies to a wide area, post it to the general/miscellaneous board for your state rather than to all of the county boards.
  4. Please do not use vulgar or offensive language in your posts. Such posts will be removed.
  5. Do not post any copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright holder.
  6. The primary purpose of these message boards is for the exchange of information helpful to scanner monitors. They are not intended to be a forum for debate or the expression of opinions. Please do not use the boards for that purpose.
  7. No advertising of any kind is permitted on any of the message boards.
  8. The IP addresses of all posters are logged. Making deliberately offensive posts, or repeatedly violating the guidelines for these boards will result in the offender being banned from posting. Such actions are against the terms of service of virtually all Internet Service Providers and can cause you to lose your Internet account with your provider if complaints are made against you. If warranted, I will report any abuses and send copies of the offending posts to the abusers Internet Service Provider.
