Mrs. Helen P. Zimmerman, 60, Spraggs, R.D. 1, died after an extended illness at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 1977 in St. Margaret's Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born August 28, 1917, in Wayne Township, near Brock, a daughter of the late William and Ona Dulaney Phillips, and had resided virtually all her life in the Spraggs community. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Spraggs United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of the church. She was very active in church affairs as long as her health permitted. Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Zimmerman, Sr., whom she married June 29, 1940; a son, Robert E. Zimmerman, Jr., Jewett, Ohio; a granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Zimmerman, and four sisters, Mrs. Morris (Mary) Strawn of Waynesburg, Mrs. Leroy (Jessie) Pettit of Washington, Mrs. Carl (Edna) Strawn of Waynesburg, and Mrs. Stanley (Gladys) Moore of Beaver, and several nieces and nephews.
