RALPH WILLISON

Ralph Willison, 69, of Sycamore, died at 8:30 a.m. Monday, February 1, 1965, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, after a prolonged illness.

Mr. Willison was born March 19, 1895, in Center Township, a son of James Franklin Willison and Ella Mae Crouse Willison.

He was a lifelong resident of the Sycamore community and was a member of the Bates Fork Baptist Church, Sycamore.

Mr. Willison was employed during World War I at the tin mill, West Waynesburg, and had also worked for the Equitable Gas Company for a number of years.

He had been a rural mail carrier out of Sycamore Post Office, also operated a dairy farm, and was retired from the South Penn Telephone Company after eight years of employment.

He was a former Republican Committeeman from Washington Township.

In 1914 he married Margaret Ealy. To this union were born one son, J. Kenneth Willison, of Waynesburg, and one daughter, Vera, wife of Edward J. Patterson, of Waynesburg.

Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Alonzo Willison, of Rogersville; and four sisters, Laura Bower of Morgantown, W. Va., Ina Martin, of Sycamore, R. D. 1, Lenora Stockdale, of Rogersville, and Josephine Scott, of Rogersville, also survive.

One brother, Floyd, and one sister, Ethel, are deceased.


WILLISON - The family of Ralph Willison, of Sycamore, who died Monday, Feb. 1, 1965, will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the William W. Garrison Funeral Home, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in charge of Rev. William H. Morford and Rev. Lindley Shearer. Burial in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
