MRS. LEE ONA WHYTE

Mrs. Lee Ona Whyte, 72, lifelong resident of Rogersville, died at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 1957 in Greene County Memorial Hospital after a serious illness of two weeks.

A daughter of the late Lisbon Scott, onetime commissioner of Greene County, and Delelah Church Scott, she was born February 22, 1885 in Center Township. She was a member of the Rogersville Christian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Blanche) Morris of Washington, Pa, and Mrs. Clarinda Crouse of Rogersville; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Scott of Claysville and Hart Scott of Rogersville and one sister, Mrs. Anna Russell of Oceanside, Calif. One daughter, a brother and a sister are deceased.


WHYTE - Friends of Mrs. Lee Ona Whyte of Rogersville, who died Tuesday, May 14, 1957, are being received at the Robert L. Lantz Funeral Home, Rogersville, where private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 16, with Rev. E. N. Rumbaugh officiating. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
