Aged Woman Is Claimed By Death

Mrs. Jerusha Stoops, aged 86 years, a former resident of Greene county and well known in the Monongahela valley, died Tuesday, November 10, at 9 a.m., at the home of her son, J. E. Stoops, of Forward township, Allegheny county. Her death was due to infirmities of old age. Mrs. Stoops had lived in Greene county the greater part of her life but for the past ten years had made her home with her son. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. J. E. Stoops, with whom she lived, is her only surviving child. The body was taken to Whiteley Chapel, this county yesterday morning, where funeral services were conducted. Interment was in the Whiteley Chapel cemetery.

Mrs. Jerusha Stoops, formerly of Kirby, this county, died at the home of her son, J. E. Stoops, of near Monongahela, Pa., Tuesday, November 10. She was aged 86 years and her death was due to infirmities incident to advanced years. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. She is survived by her son, J. E. Stoops, with whom she made her home. The funeral services will be held in the Whiteley Chapel M. E. church, near Kirby, Thursday morning. Interment in the church cemetery.
