J. Randolph Staggers

J. Randolph Staggers, 72, died at his home on the Waynesburg-Mt. Morris road in Whiteley Township, Monday, Sept. 30, 1946, after a brief illness. He was born near Jollytown, Pa., April 9, 1874, the son of the late David and Phoebe Jane Aikens Staggers and spent most of his life in Whiteley Township. He was twice married. His first wife was the late Mary Stephenson, who is survived by one son, Hugh S. Staggers, of Mt. Morris Star Route. One son is deceased. Mr. Staggers is survived by his wife, Flora Patterson Ataggers, and three daughters, Louise, Phoebe Jane and Laura Annette, all at home.

Two sisters, Miss Mary Staggers and Mrs. Edna Baxter, of Mt. Morris Star Route, and one brother, Ralph Staggers, of Blacksville, W. Va., also survive.


STAGGERS - Funeral services for J. Randolph Staggers, who died Monday, September 30, 1946, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at his residence on the Waynesburg-Mt. Morris road with the Rev. Albert Merz and Rev. Ernest McNeely officiating. Friends will be received at his home after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Glades Cemetery, near Carmichaels. George I. Church, funeral director.

(Joseph Fitz) Randolph Staggers, aged 72 years, well known farmer, died at his home on the Waynesburg Mt. Morris Road, Monday September 30, following a brief illness. He was a son of David and Phoebe Jane Aikens Staggers, and was born April 9, 1874, near Jollytown. His first wife, Mary V. Stephenson, died 19 years ago. From this union he is survived by one son, Hugh S. Staggers of the Waynesburg - Mt. Morris road. His second wife, Flora Patterson Staggers, survives and from this union he leaves three daughters, Louise, Phoebe Jane and Laura Annette, all at home. Also surviving are two sisters, Miss Mary Staggers and Mrs. Edna Baxter, both of the Waynesburg - Mt. Morris road and one brother, Ralph Staggers of Blacksville, W. Va.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home, conducted by Rev. Albert Moerz and Rev. H. Ernest McNeely. Interment in Glades Cemetery.
