Otho Spragg, 80, Dies In Home Of His Birth

Prominent Wayne Township Farmer Was Active Churchman

WAYNESBURG, April 2. - Otho Spragg, 80, died Friday morning, April 2, 1943, at 6:30 o'clock, at his home in Wayne Township. He was one of the best known citizens of that place.

Mr. Spragg, son of Adam Spragg and Lydia Pettit Spragg, was born March 2, 1863, in Wayne Township, in the same house in which he died. He was a member of the Spragga Methodist Church, and was a trustee for many years. He was also an honorary member of the Spraggs W.C.T.U. He followed farming in which he was very successful.

Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter, Helen, wife of Lloyd Henderson; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. George E. Phillips, of Waynesburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.


SPRAGG - Funeral services for Otho Spragg, who died Friday, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 4, in his home in Wayne Township, in charge of the Rev. C. F. Crow. Burial in Spraggs Cemetery. C. W. Parkinson, funeral director.
