Eva Spitznogle, 68, of Pentress, W. Va., died Saturday, April 6, 1968, in the Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. following a long illness.

She was born June 16, 1898, in Mt. Morris to Laura Shanks Lemeley and the late Minor Lemley. She was a member of the Olive Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother, is her widower, Jesse Spitznogle; two sons, Lloyd and Arnold, both of McKeesport; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Whitehill of Murraysville and Mrs. Jean Varner of Blacksville, W. Va.; seven brothers, Raymond, Earl, Carl, Floyd and Ott, all of Mt. Morris and also Rex and Ray, both of Pentress, W. Va.; six sisters, Myrtle Bowers, Mary Ammons, and Hazel Fox, all of Mt. Morris; Mamie Stewart, of Pentress, W. Va.; Effie Spitznogle of Core, W. Va. and Linnie Hoge, of Beaver Falls; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A son, Robert, is deceased.
