Blanche Whyte Morris Obituary


Mrs. Blanche W. Morris, 65, of 819 Ewing Street, Washington, died after a long illness at 7:50 a.m. Monday, September 5, 1971, in Washington Hospital.

A daughter of George S. Whyte and Lee Ono Scott Whyte, she was born January 3, 1906, at Rogersville, where she resided until moving to Washington 19 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1957, due to poor health, Mrs. Morris had worked 11 years for the Duncan Miller Glass Company at Washington.

She was a member of the Grove Avenue Church of God.

Surviving are her husvband, Edeard Morris, whom she married May 22, 1930; one daughter, Mrs. Conrad (Louise) Phillips, of Washington, R. D. 6; a grandson, Larry Phillips, of Greensburg; a granddaughter, Cathy Phillips, of Washington, R. D. 6; five step-grandchildren, one Ste-great-grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Clarinda Cox, of Waynesburg.

A sister, Mrs. Marie McVicker, is deceased.
