Charles G. Minor Obituary


Charles G. Minor, 67, of Mt. Morris R. D. 1, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 1957, at Greene County Memorial Hospital where he was admitted Tuesday night for a heart attack. He was a farmer and stockraiser.

Born Sept. 25, 1889, in Perry Township, he was a son of William L. and Martha Ammons Minor, deceased. He spent all of his life in the Mt. Morris area.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie L. Headlee Minor; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Maxine) King of Akron, Ohio; six grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mae Craig of Mt. Morris.

He was associated with the Valley Chapel Methodist Church at Brock.

MINOR - Friends of Charles G. Minor of Mt. Morris R. D. 1, who died Wednesday, August 14, 1957, will be received after 1 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Garrison Funeral Home, 325 East High street, Waynesburg, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 17, with Rev. Dean Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery at Mt. Morris.
