Mrs. Mary Belle Crouse McNeely

Mrs. Mary Belle Crouse McNeely, aged 76 years, and wife of David McNeely, died at her home at Ninevah, R. D. 1, Tuesday evening, July 18, 1944, at 6:10 o'clock after an illness covering a period of 22 years.

She was born in Center Township on July 24, 1867, the daughter of Layton and Cathryn Thomas Crouse, both deceased. She spent most of her life in Greene County and was a member of the Union Valley Methodist Church at Time.

Besides her husband she is survived by seven children. They are Charles L. McNeely, of Washington; Mrs. Gertrude Huffman, of Waynesburg, R. D.; Mrs. Nettie Fletcher, of Graysville; George D. McNeely, of Washington, Pa., R. D. 5; Mrs. Mary Humble, of Waynesburg, R. D. 2; Elizabeth McNeely, at home, and Pvt. Marvin McNeely, located at a camp in South Carolina with the U. S. Army. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Crago, Masontown; Mrs. Bessie Simpson, of Washington, and a brother, T. C. Crouse, of Waynesburg-Cameron Star Route.

McNEELY - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Belle Crouse McNeely, wife of David McNeely, who died at her home at Ninevah, R. D. 1, Tuesday evening, July 18, 1944, will be held at her late home Friday afternoon, July 21 at two o'clock, in charge of Rev. L. W. Peters, assisted by Rev. John Debolt. Burial will be in the Oakmont Cemetery. Friends will be received at the residence after four o'clock this afternoon. Ralph H. Scott, of Rogersville, is the funeral director.
