Willis W. Lemley, 88, of Mt. Morris R. D. 1, died at 12:50 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2001, in his home, following a two-year illness.

He was born January 14,1913, in Mt. Morris, a son of Charles N. and Ollie Rose Lemley.

Mr. Lemley was a lifelong resident of Mt. Morris a member of Mt. Morris United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday school teacher; and was a former member of the administrative board.

He was also a member of Mt. Morris Senior Citizens where, for more than 17 years, he delivered meals on wheels, and was a past president of Cedar Grove Cemetery Co. of Mt. Morris.

He worked for American Oil in Morgantown, W.Va., for 39 years, until retiring in 1975.

On November 30,1932, he married his wife of 68 years, Grace Kiger, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Eleanor L. Hager of Huntington, W.Va. and Susan Elaine Roach of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren, Beth Hager Spotts, Jay Michael Hager and Zachary W. Roach.

Mr. Lemley was the last of his immediate family.

Deceased are a sister, Louise Hogan; and twin brothers who died in infancy.


LEMLEY- Friends of Willis W. Lemley of Mt. Morris R.D. 1, who died Friday, February 2, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., corner of Ellsworth Avenue and Route 19, Mt. Morris, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 5, with the Rev. Andrew Verner officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Memorial contributions may be made to Albert Gallatin Hospice, 20 Highland Park Drive Uniontown PA 15401.
