Mrs. Rachel Lemley died at the home of her son-in-law, Luther Shull on Morgan street, Thursday, March 13. She was born April 14, 1853, and was the widow of the late Clark Lemley, deceased, being a highly respected christian woman. She leaves two sons and one daughter, Alonzo and Alva Lemley and Mrs. Haddie Shull. Three brothers and one sister also survive, W. G., W. M. and David Headley and Mrs. Lydia Strosnider, the latter of Winchester, Va. The funeral was held at the home of Mr. Shull on Saturday, services being conducted by Rev. William Tipper, of this place, and Rev. J. C. McMinn, of Jefferson. The remains were taken to Mt. Morris for interment. Newspaper obituary, date and source unknown (Greene County, Pennsylvania)
