LAMBERT L. KNOTTS

Lambert L. Knotts, 55, husband of Ella Stone King [sic] Knotts, of Sherman avenue, died in the Veterans Hospital at Aspinwall, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1947, at 2:30 a.m., after an illness of the past six months.

A carpenter by trade, he was born January 12, 1892, at Mt. Moris, and spent the past 25 years in Waynesburg. Four children, Mrs. Virginia Thomas, Waynesburg; Harold Knotts, Waynesburg; Loyes Knotts, Akron, Ohio; and Raymond Knotts, at home, survive besides his wife. Surviving brothes and sisters include Ira Knotts, D. Lawrence Knotts and Frank Knotts of Morgantown, W. Va.; Mrs. Leonard Renner, Kirby; Mrs. Austin Moore, of Carrollton, O.; and Mrs. Ansel Lemley, of Mt. Morris, R.D.

A corporal in World War I, he was a member of the 210th Engineers and was a member of James Farrell Post No. 330, American Legion.


KNOTTS - Funeral services for Lambert L. Knotts, husband of Mrs. Ella Stone King Knotts [sic], of Sherman avenue, who died in the Veterans Hospital at Aspinwall, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1947, will be held at the Church Funeral Parlor, South Washington street, at 2 p.m. (DST), Friday, Sept. 26, in charge of Rev. F. D. Esenswein. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Park with military rites at the graveside by the James Farrell Post No. 330, American Legion. George I. Church, funeral director.
