Well Known Woman of Brave Succumbs

Mrs. Susannah A. Keener, aged 61, wife of McClelland Keener, of Brave, died at her home Tuesday morning, December 10, 1929, at 7:30 o'clock. SHe had been in failing health for three or four years, and her death was due to paralysis and complications.

Mrs. Keener was born July 23, 1868, on Shannon Run, Perry township, a daughter of Joseph K. and Mary J. Headley> At the age of twelve yeas she united with the Methodist Episcopal church and always was a very active worker in the church and Sunday school. She was also an enthusiastic worker in the W. C. T. U. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Merril H. Keener, of Brave, and Rex M. Keener, of Morgantown, W. Va. , and the following sisters and brother: Mrs. Lozella Blaker, of Beallsville; Mrs. Zora Whitehill, of Brave; Mrs. Nannie Eddy, of Morgantown, W. Va.; Mrs. Ethel Headlee, of Mt. Morris; Miss Lulu Headlee, of Waynesburg; Mrs. Bessie Minor, of Mt. Morris, R. D., and P. L. Headley, of Waynesburg.

Funeral services were held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock in the Kent Methodist Episcopal church at Brave, and interment was in the Cedar Grove cemetery at Mt. Morris.

Mrs. Susannah A. Keener, wife of McClelland Keener, died at her home in Brave, Tuesday morning, December 10, aged 61 years. Her death was due to paralysis and complications. Mrs. Keener was the daughter of Joseph and Mary J. Headlee, and was born July 23, 1868 in Perry township. In her early youth she became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was a very active worker in the church and also in the W. C. T. U. Beside her husband she leaves two sons, Merrill H. Keener, of Brave, and Rex M. Keener, of Morgantown, W. Va., and als the following brother and sisters: P. L. Headlee and Miss Lulu Headlee, of Waynesburg; Mrs. Lozella Blaker, Beallsville; Mrs. Zora Whitehill, Brave; Mrs. Nannie Eddy, Morgantown, W. Va.; Mrs. Ethel Headlee, Mt. Morris, and Mrs. Bessie Minor, Mt. Morris, R. D. 1. The funeral services were held Thursday at 10 o'clock in the Kent M. E. church at Brave. Interment in Cedar Grove cemetery at Mt. Morris.
