WILLIAM W. HEADLEE

William W. Headlee, 69, well known retired bank employee, died suddenly at 11 a.m. Monday Oct. 25, 1948, at his home, 103 North Maiden street, Waynesburg. Mr. Headlee was stricken with a heart attack while out in the yard at his home and died instantly.

A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born April 19, 1879, in Perry Township, a son of the late W. G. Headley and Mary Jane Lemley Headlee. He was engaged in the banking business in Waynesburg for a period of 38 years, first being associated with the old American National Bank and was employed by the First National Bank and Trust Company when he retired two years ago.

He was married June 16, 1901, to Sarah E. Delaney, who survives. He also leaves three brothers: Jasper Headlee, of Toledo, O.; Benson Headlee, of Pataskala, O., and Oscar Headlee, of Spraggs.

Mr. Headlee had been a member of the First Methodist Church of Waynesburg ever since coming to Waynesburg and was a member of the Board of Stewards.
