Mrs. Mary J. Headlee

Mrs. Mary J. Headlee, widow of W. G. Headlee, a former resident of Perry township, died Monday afternoon, October 3, at 3 o'clock at her home in Columbus, Ohio. Mrs. Headlee was in her 77th year and her death was due to pneumonia and complications. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Lemley, deceased, and spent practically all her life in the southern section of Greene county, where she was widely known. She moved to Ohio in July, 1920. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. The following children survive: Mrs. Walter Dunaley [sic], of Mt. Morris; J. N. Headlee, of Toledo, Ohio; O. A. Headlee, of Brock; Eli Headlee, of Mt. Morris; Rev. D. L. Headlee, of South Fork; Benson Headlee, of Pataskalo, Ohio; W. W. Headlee, of Waynesburg, and Misses Ella and Theresa Headlee, of Columbus, Ohio. She also leaves one sister and three brothers, namely: Mrs. Sarah E. Dulaney, of Fairmont, W. Va.; Charles, Harvey and Newton Lemley, of Mt. Morris. Funeral services were held in the Shannon Run church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. R. B. Ward, of Mt. Morris. Interment was in the Mt. Morris cemetery.

Mrs. Mary J. Headlee died at her home in Columbus, O., Monday, October 3, of pneumonia, aged 77 years. Mrs. Headlee was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Lemley, deceased, and was born in Perry township, where she had resided all her life until a little over a year ago, when she removed to Columbus, O. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She is survived by six sons and three daughters: J. N. Headlee, Toledo, O.; O. A. Headlee, Brock; Eli Headlee, Mt. Morris; Rev. D. L. Headlee, South Fork, O.; Benson Headlee, Pataskala, O.; W. W> Headlee, Waynesburg; Mrs. Walter Dulaney, Mt. Morris, and Misses Ella and Theresa Headlee of Columbus, O. On sister and three brothers also survive, Mrs. Sarah E. Dulany, Fairmont, W. Va., and Charles, Harvey and Newton Lemley, of Mt. Morris. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the Shannon Run church conducted by Rev. Ward, of Mt. Morris. Interment in Mt. Morris cemetery.

Waynesburg, Oct. 4 - Mrs. Mary J. Headlee, formerly a resident of Perry township, died Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at her home in Columbus, Ohio. She was in her 77th year and her death was due to pneumonia and complications. She was the widow of W.G. Headlee whose death occurred August 16, 1912.

Mrs. Headlee was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Lemley and spent nearly all her life in the southern section of the county where she was widely known. She moved to Ohio in July of last year. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.

The following children survive: Mrs. Walter Dulaney, Mt. Morris; J.N. Headlee, Toledo, Ohio; O.A. Headlee, Brock; Eli Headlee, Mt. Morris; Rev. D.L. Headlee, South Fork; Benson Headlee, Pataskalo, Ohio; W.V. Headlee, Waynesburg, and Miss Ella and Thressa Headlee of Columbus. One sister and three brothers also survive. They are Mrs. Sarah E. Dulaney, Fairmont, W. Va., and Charles, Harvey and Newton Lemley, all of Mt. Morris. The funeral services will be held in the Shannon Run church Wednesday at 2 o'clock p.m., conducted by the Rev. Mr. Ward of Mt. Morris. The interment will be in the Mt. Morris cemetery.
