Mrs. Ida Strosnider Hardy

Mrs. Ida Strosnider Hardy, 64, native of Mt. Morris and resident of Winchester, Va., until her death, died Friday morning, April 3, 1942, at 6:05, at Memorial Hospital, Winchester, Va., following a brief Illness.

Born March 7, 1878, at Mt. Morris, Mrs. Hardy was a daughter of the late Benson F. and Lydia Headlee Strosnider. With her parents she moved to Winchester in 1894, where her father was for some years foreman for Glaize and Brother, and other lumber contractors.

On August 31, 1898, she married W. G. Hardy at Winchester and had since resided there. She was a faithful member of the Braddock Street Methodist Church and was active in its work for as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Hardy also maintained and active interest in the Daughters of the American Revolution, of which she was a member.

Besides her husband, two daughters survive as follows: Mrs. Robert C. Noerr, Ridgefield, N. J., and Mrs. Helen H. Wright, former secretary of the Winchester Frederick Chapter of the Red Cross and at present assistant field director of the Red Cross at Camp Lee, Va. Three grandchildren, Bevewrly Wright, Frances Westwood Wright and Karl Noerr, also survive.
