MRS. SYLVIA A. FORDYCE Mrs. Sylvia A. Fordyce, 56, widow of Charles A. Fordyce, of 363 South Washington street, Waynesburg, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 1949, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital. Death followed an illness of two weeks due to a heart ailment. A lifelong resident of Greene County, she was born Dec. 7, 1892, at Ninevah, a daughter of the laye Mrs. Sarah Jane Frye, and had lived in Waynesburg for some 30 years. She was a member of the Washington Street Methodist Church. She was married Feb. 9, 1918 to Charles A, Fordyce, who died Feb. 7, 1928. Surviving are a son, William A. Fordyce, at home; one daughter, Emma Jane, wife of John E. Pendergast of Washington, Pa., and two grandchildren. FORDYCE - Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia A. Fordyce, of 263 South Washington street, Waynesburg, widow of Charles A. Fordyce, who died Wednesday, August 10, 1949, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 12, at the Garrison Funeral Home, 325 East High street, with the Rev. O. W. Bolton officiating.
