Joseph Fordyce Jr.

Joseph J. Fordyce Jr., 69, of 20 West Lincoln Street, Waynesburg, died at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 1984, in Greene County, Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

He was born January 2, 1915, in Mt. Morris to Joseph M. and Rebecca Rice Fordyce.

He spent his entire life in the Waynesburg area and was affiliated with the United Methodist Church. He was a social member of James Farrell Post 330, American Legion. A laborer, he was employed by the late Roy E. Furman in the construction trade for many years.

Surviving are his wife Freda Criss Fordyce; a daughter Arnetta of Uniontown; a son Jerry of Carmichaels; several grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Flora Herrod and Mrs. Mary Pyles of Waynesburg; Mrs. Margaret Callahan in Ohio; Mrs. Olive Fox of Clarksville and Mrs. Josephine Kerns of Warren, Ohio and four brothers, Minor and George of Waynesburg, Hartford of Munhall and Miller of Clarksville R.D. 1.

Deceased are a sister, Edith and two brothers, James and Richard.
