HOWARD FORDYCE

Howard Fordyce, 65, of 1500 Bunts Road, Cleveland, Ohio, died at 3 P. M. Thursday, July 4, 1968 in a Lakewood, Ohio hospital.

He had not been in good health for the past two years and suffered a heart attack Wednesday and was admitted to the hospital.

Mr. Fordyce was born in Center Township, the son of W. L. and Cora Mitchell Fordyce.

He had resided in the Cleveland area for the past 30 years.

Surviving are his wife Catherine Smith Fordyce, two sons, William, of Wilmington, Delaware and David of Natrona Heights, and four sisters, Hester Orndoff, Waynesburg, R. D. 5; Olive DeLancy, Greeneburg Pike, Pittsburgh; Mary Mitchell, Rogersville and Bernice Lee, of Levittstown, N. Y. and several nieces and nephews.

One brother R. Allen, is deceased. Funeral services were held Saturday in Lakewood.

HOWARD D. FORDYCE

Howard D. Fordyce, 65, of 1500 Bunts Road, Lakewood, Ohio, a native of Greene County, died Thursday, July 4, 1968, in Fairview General Hospital, Lakewood.

He had been in failing health for two years and in 1967 had retired as a district manager for Sun Life Insurance Company of America.

A son of W. L. and Cora Mitchell Fordyce, he was born in Center Township and moved to Cleveland in 1931. He attended Bethany College.

On three occasions Mr. Fordyce won the distinction of being named leading manager in the nation for sales by his company. He was a member of the Cleveland Life Insurance Managers Assn. and the Life Underwriters Assn. He was a former member of the Lakewood Baseball Commission.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine Smith Fordyce; two sons, William H., of Wilmington, Del., and David C., of Natrona Heights, and four sisters, Mrs. Hester Orndoff, of Waynesburg, R.D. 5; Mrs. Olive DeLancy, of Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Mary Mitchell, of Rogersville, and Mrs. Bernice Lee, of Levittown, N.Y.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 6, with burial in Lakewood Park Cemetery.
