Mary E. Cox Obituary

Once worked as waitress in Waynesburg restaurants Mary E. ( Betty ) Huffman Cox, 73, of Waynesburg R.D.5 died at 10:45 p.m Wednesday, March 18, 1992, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., following a brief illness.

She was born March 11, 1919, in Waynesburg, a daughter of A.J.Huffman Sr., Gertrude McNeely Huffman.

She worked as a waitress at the former Midway Lounge and at several restaurants in Waynesburg. She was a member of Bates Fork Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth W. (Carole) Cox of Waynesburg R.D.5, Mrs. Gene (Sue) Rasel of Lone Pine and Mrs. Doug (Pamela) Korzen of Morgantown (W.Va.) R.D.1; two sons, Thomas B. Cox and James J. Cox both of Amity; 14 grandchildren;and five great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are a sister, Dorothy Ruth Scott of Waynesburg; and two brothers, George C. Huffman and A.J. Huffman Jr.,both of Waynesburg. Deceased are a brother, Alvin Huffman, and a great-granddaughter.

COX--Friends of Mary E. ( Betty ) Cox of Waynesburg R.D.5., who died Wednesday, March 18, 1992, will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Friday in Behm Funeral Home, 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 1pm Saturday, March 21, with the Rev. Thomas S. Doolittle officiating. Interment in Oakmont Cemetery.
